Plastic is the most used non-natural element in industry and one of the biggest environmental problems of our time. Fortunately, we seem to be able to give it new life.

Plastic can indeed be recycled, but unfortunately, the number of times it can be reused is limited (unlike aluminum, which can be recycled indefinitely).

For example, in the United States, 100 billion plastic bags are thrown away, and these plastic bags are produced with 12 million barrels of oil. This is a very big problem. Fortunately, there are ways to solve it.

One of the smartest solutions is the work of Japanese inventor Akinori Ito, who created a household appliance that converts plastic bags into fuel. The resulting fuel can be used in various applications, such as heat generation.

Ito realized that because plastic bags are made of petroleum, they can be restored to their original shape. The oil produced can be used to heat generators and some furnaces.

Or it can be used as a substitute for gasoline after being refined, or even used to power cars, boats or motorcycles.

One kilogram of plastic can produce about one liter of oil. And the conversion process requires about 1 kWh of electricity, which is about 20 Euro cents.

By converting plastic into petroleum, we have eliminated carbon dioxide pollution. Although the final product is still a fuel that releases carbon dioxide when burned, this recycling method can completely change the way we deal with plastic waste.

The invention is designed for home use, it is possible to achieve energy independence among consumers, and it is not only suitable for companies and large companies, so many people can use this invention.

The machine uses very effective pyrolysis, which involves converting compounds into smaller, simpler compounds at high temperatures. It can process different types of plastics, such as polyethylene, polystyrene and polypropylene. Of course, it does not handle PET bottles.

Chinese and American scientists at Washington State University have developed a method to convert plastic waste into jet fuel.

The process begins by heating the plastic. Then put it in a pressurized oven without oxygen. It is heated to 427°C, turning the plastic into a liquid. The machine then converts the liquid into a gaseous state.

The gas produced is captured and stored for cooling. The steam condenses as it cools and forms crude oil. Although it is very practical, it is certainly not a very complicated process.
